Ladies, I am so happy to share Carson Stinger with all of you for Day 5 of our 25 Days of Book Boyfriends. If you are not acquainted with Carson Stinger, then let me tell you a bit about him. HMM, where do I start. Oh, well for starters, Carson used to be a Porn Star. YEP!! This hot specimen of a man used to do porn. You know what that means!! Yeah, he knows what he’s doing in the bedroom and has some serious swagger. As if he couldn’t get any more hotter, he’s also a Navy Seal. It’s like perfection. Oh, and he can snowboard like a professional. What more could you want in a man?
If you read Stinger, you would know that Carson and Grace fall for eachother in just one weekend. One hot sex filled weekend.
“Lose control, baby. Just for one weekend. Let me take charge. I’ll take good care of you, I promise.”
Oh, he takes good care of Grace all right. He makes love to her, fucks her, falls for her, breaks her heart. All in one weekend. Carson is such a beast in the bedroom, but more than that, he’s tender and loving. You can’t help but fall in love with him yourself. He is so torn, trying to be a better man for his buttercup. And he achieves all of his goals, his dreams. All in the name of love; for Grace. He’s swoonworthy for certain. He’s more, so much more. Stinger was a beautiful love story; Carson and Grace share something so special. But its Carson who melts you.
“And I like how you let me see beneath that perfect exterior, because it turns out that what you were hiding was even more stunning. Fragglerock hair and all. And I really, really like how you make me feel-like if you looked at me every day, the way you you’re looking at me right now, I could do anything, be anything, be more.
To help me celebrate our Day 5 of Carson Stinger, the author Mia Sheridan (LOVE HER), wrote us a little bit of Carson and Grace. Just a quick glimpse into their future. And it is sooooo Carson. He’s just so kind and considerate of Grace.
I picked Ella up out of the bath, wrapping a towel around her little body and drying her off as I smiled at her and said, “There’s my clean girl. Go in your bedroom and get your p.j.’s and your diaper and bring them back to mommy, okay?”
“‘kay, mommy!” and she went running off into her room, as I emptied the tub and picked up the bathroom. It had been a long day at the office. I was tired. I was looking forward to relaxing on the couch with Carson and telling him all about the new developments in the case I was working on. I couldn’t help smiling to myself when I thought about how lucky I was that my husband was my best friend. And also the sexiest man in the world–there was that too. That was a nice perk.
When Ella hadn’t come back a few minutes later, I went off in search of her.
“Oh, no, no, no, uh uh, little girl,” I heard Carson say from the living room. “We don’t wear this kind of outfit, unless we want daddy to lose his mind. Do we want daddy to lose his mind?”
I heard Ella laugh and I turned the corner into the room to see my husband swinging our daughter up into his arms as they both laughed, twin dimples popping out–one to the left under Carson’s full bottom lip and one to the left under our fifteen month old daughter’s lip. Seriously, how was I supposed to have any authority around here when I was working against those dimples? It was completely unfair. I was a slave to those dimples–and they both knew it.
I grinned at them, but my eyes widened when I really took in what Ella had put on–a tutu, and every sparkly bracelet and necklace she owned, which, because she had the daddy she had, and because she loved anything sparkly, were plentiful. And that was it. The tutu did nothing to hide her bare little baby tush. I couldn’t help laughing.
I walked over to Carson and reached out my arms to her. “Hey, you were supposed to be bringing mommy your diaper and your p.j.’s.” She grinned at me, flashing that dimple and as usual, I melted. Yup, completely outdimpled.
We both looked up when the doorbell rang. “Who could that be?” I asked.
Carson smiled a knowing smile. “No idea, Buttercup,” he said, winking. I looked at him suspiciously, and then went to open the door. It was our regular babysitter, Jessica.
“Hey, Jess!” I said, surprised. “What are you doing here?”
She looked confused, right before Carson walked up behind me. “I called her,” he said, smiling and swinging the door open wide to let her in. Jessica snapped her gum and walked past me. I heard Ella squeal and her little feet running toward Jessica and Jess laugh and say, “There she is! Oh, you look very pretty tonight.”
Carson looked over his shoulder and said, “Jessica, will you put her diaper and p.j.’s on? They’re still in her room.”
“Sure thing!” she called, moving away from us.
I put my hands on my hips. “What in the world are you up to?” I asked Carson.
He smiled and pulled me toward him, putting his hands around my waist. I looked up into his beautiful face. “I’m taking my wife out on a date,” he said.
“A date?” I whispered.
“Hmm hmm.” He leaned in and whispered in my ear. “I’ll never forget to keep dating you, Grace, even though we’re married. Things have been crazy lately, but I thought we needed to make a point to do something fun together. Jessica’s spending the night and staying here tomorrow until about three.”
“Three?” I asked, frowning. “But I have to work.”
Carson shook his head. “No you don’t. I called Larry. He practically begged me to get you out of the office tomorrow. He said you’ve been working like a dog on this new case.”
I gaped at him. He wasn’t wrong, but… “So what are you going to do with me until three tomorrow afternoon?”
He leaned in and kissed me gently on my lips. The delicious smell of him, clean soap and Carson Stinger surrounded me. I’d been married to the guy for a little over two years and the very smell of him still managed to make my hormones flash fire through my body. I wasn’t complaining, just observing.
“Well, I booked us a room at The Bellagio–for old time’s sake.” He winked and grinned. But then he went serious. “I know you’re tired though, Grace. I don’t want you to think I have any expectations, other than to relax and have some quiet time tonight.”
I frowned. “No expectations at all?” I noticed that my voice might have held just the tiniest bit of whine.
Carson laughed. “What I’m saying is that my plan is to pamper my wife, not plan a sex-fest.” He grinned.
I grinned back. “How about a mini sex-fest?”
He laughed. “Well, if you’re gonna beg…”
I nodded vigorously and he laughed again.
“Then,” he went on, “tomorrow, we’re going to sleep in until noon if we want to and then go Christmas shopping for a couple hours, just you and me, maybe get a hot dog for lunch.”
I laughed, putting one hand on the side of his rough cheek. My face went serious and so did his. “You’re so good to me,” I said.
He leaned into my hand, closing his eyes for a beat. “I waited a long time for you, Buttercup, no way I’ll ever take you for granted.”
Tears pricked my eyes as I smiled at him and said, “Yes, a long time. But it was worth the wait. You were worth the wait.”
And then I pulled my husband close and kissed him right before I heard Jess and Ella coming back toward us.
I broke away from Carson, turning toward our room. “Okay, give me fifteen minutes to pack and get ready,” I said, practically skipping down the hall. I heard my husband’s deep chuckle as I moved away from him. I tried to stop smiling, but it was a wasted effort.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Mia; for giving us that nice glimpse into the future and now we know just how beautiful and lucky Grace is to have Carson. And their adorable daughter Ella!! LOVE!!!!
