If you haven’t read Scandalous #1, please STOP READING and check out Jesey’s review on Scandalous book 1 review. After that you should come back to read this one.
I LOVED the first Scandalous … I mean I was to the point of combustion after the first book (tried to convince the hubs that we needed an art studio and to find that paint..hehe). Jack and Abby had an extremely crazy start to their relationship, but who doesn’t love that she got her man? I know I was happy! So we start the second book with them on their honeymoon. We instantly become aware that there is going to be some major drama for the newlyweds, but aren’t sure how it will affect them as a couple. Poor Jack, he can’t catch a break! Then he seems to still be battling his insecurities of Abby choosing breaking her vows to be with him.
“People who change that quickly don’t really change at all.”
Abby is struggling with her new place in life, but is completely and totally in love with Jack. This is the man who she dreamed of and pined for since she was a teenager. Jack completes her in every
way; he is literally the other half to her soul. Abby’s faith is still very much a part of her and she has no regrets when it comes to her choice to be with Jack. I felt like she was trying reconcile her beliefs on her newly found sexuality, since she never thought she would experience it in the first place. Ok since we are talking about the schmexy stuff… HOLY PANTY MELTING HONEYMOON!! If you thought the sex scenes were HOT in Scandalous then you will not be disappointed in this book! Yes.. lots of steamy lovin’ throughout this book.
Of course, life will not be easy for the new Mr. & Mrs. Gray. Jack’s painting of Abby that he bought at the auction is going on his new exhibit. He finds himself caught in the middle of a morality war with an organization. They have to stand together and go through quite a bit for a new couple. Especially with both of them having their own issues.
I really did enjoy their love story, I felt the story had the right about of love and the right amount of angst. They have ups and down, and have choices to make which decide their fate as a couple.
