Rush promised her forever… but promises can be broken.
Torn between his love for his family and his love for Blaire, Rush has to find a way to save one without losing the other. In the end one has to be more important. Letting go isn’t easy.
Blaire believed in her fairytale… but no one can live in a fantasy.
Her love for Rush and desire to have a family keep her believing that they can find a way for this to work. Until she has to make the right decision for her and the baby. Even if it breaks her heart.
Can they find the forever that they both want or has it all just gone… too far?
I just finished reading Forever Too Far about 10 minutes ago and I could not wait to get this review started. I was nervous going into this book knowing that the story of Rush and Blaire would be coming to an end. I could only hope for a wonderful ending that would wrap things up nicely and leave me able to breathe on my own ;)
I don’t want to give too much away so I will try to be good.
We start off by finally meeting Rush’s father, the infamous Dean Finlay of Slacker Demon. At first I was thrown off thinking it was going to be awkward, which it was because, hey, he is Dean Finlay! He turns out to be really nice (in his own rock star way) and is involved with Rush and Blaire throughout the story.
Dean has shown up to get Rush to come out to California. Nan is out there raising hell and causing problems for her “dad” Kiro, another member of Slacker Demon. Rush and Blaire go together and I wished that they hadn’t. Nan is even more of a bitch than she was before, I really wanted to strangle her this time around. Things get messy like they always do and pregnant Blaire needs a break so she heads to visit with her father on his boat. As usual Rush freaks out because she is gone and he goes after her. From this point on he became WAY too clingy for my liking. I understand that he loves her and she is his everything but he really needed to ease up. If I had been there I probably would have revoked his man card LOL
“I’m sure you could, sweet Blaire. But right now all I want to do is massage your feet and calves while you relax and fall asleep.”
Once the Nan situation is settled (for the moment), Rush and Blaire return to Rosemary. They finally get married and boy did I cry! Abbi Glines has graced us with a song that “Rush” wrote. My suggestion is that you buy the song on iTunes and play it when you get to that part of the story….holy waterworks!
“So I’m standing here oh girl you knowAfter all we’ve been through we couldn’t let it goand as long as I’m alive, in your eyes I’ll stareholding you so close I’ll solemnly swearthat I have fallen too far, that I have fallen too fartoo far for you”
We get to spend more time with Blaire and Rush as they become parents.
It was weird hearing them talk about baby stuff and not sex….although that was still there (not as much as I had hoped but it was still there). We are also given more glimpses into the Woods and Della story from Twisted Perfection and more about a possible story involving Grant!
The emotional/sexy roller coaster has slowed down in this story which is the reason for my 4.5 stars. I really would have liked to had more of the schmexy stuff between Rush and Blaire. They are still all hot and horny for each other all of the time, however since this is the last we will read of them it would have been nice to go out with a bang (no pun intended LOL)
I am sad to see this story’s final chapter, I can only hope that we hear more about Rush and Blaire in some upcoming books. I can’t wait to see what Abbi Glines has in store for us next!
