Did you go??
Ok, welcome back! Now that you see I had some issues with reading Taking Chances I am happy to tell you that I really enjoyed reading Stealing Harper . Molly McAdams did a wonderful job telling the story from Chase’s POV. This book highlighted my favorite parts of Taking Chances which wasn’t hard because Chase was the main reason why I liked the first half so much
Chase loved Harper from the very beginning and I always rooted for him to get the girl. It’s not that I didn’t like Brandon however it was obvious that Harper had feelings for Chase as well. This time around we get to see just how many people Chase talked to about his feelings. His parents, his coworkers, and his housemates all knew that he was head over heels for Harper. Hearing how he spoke of her when she wasn’t around made me tear up. Harper really had NO IDEA just how much Chase cared for her. We can see that he knows he messed up when he thinks to himself,
“Fuck, I can spend the rest of my life making up for everything I’ve done to her, and I still won’t forgive myself for the shit I put her through.”
Reading this book was especially hard for me because I knew how it was going to end and I was nervous to see it from Chase’s perspective. I would love to also hear the story from Brandon’s POV (hint hint Ms. McAdams!), I really feel that it would round out their whole story.
Please don’t let my previous 3 star rating steer you away from reading Taking Chances, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend both of these books to our readers!
