Char is a focused and driven career woman who’s had a relationship she would rather choose to forget, but can’t. Riley is a pure gentleman who can easily leave the past where it belongs, behind him.
Some people believe in fate where others deem it a coincidence. Char and Riley are meant to be together, so life just happens to make sure they are in the right place at the right time.
But is that enough?
You’ll be falling in love with this dynamic duo as they find out who they are and why fate keeps making sure their lives are intertwined.
Their differences are what make them all too similar, and throughout the course of their journey there is one thing that always brings them back together…the need for each other’s touch.
After a few moments, Char pulls me into the apartment and I’m dying to get my hands on hers, my mouth on hers, and spend the rest of the night holding her close against my body. I sense the moment is right and we are beginning to share the connection we both feel but she suddenly backs away. She suggests we get the things from the Jeep. She says I should call Derrick I let him know I’m staying the night. At first I’m confused, but once she tells me she wants me here I know this is where I will stay.
Well if you love a dual POV with a HEA then this is the book for you! T.H. Snyder has written a beautiful love story about Charlotte and Riley, they meet in an unusual way and are brought together by a funny coincidence. There is chemistry from the beginning, even when Riley nicknames her “the crazy mini mart chick”, he still thinks she is sexy. When they finally officially meet (and Riley ogled him) they agree to forgive and forget and start over.
It is really cute how we see from their different POVs that they want to spend more time with each other. I liked knowing how they were both feeling about the same situations. One thing that I really couldn’t get past was the repetitiveness throughout the book. Each chapter is split between Riley and Charlotte’s POVs, essentially you hear 2/3 of the same story/situation from another perspective. The book flows nicely enough, it was a breath of fresh air to read a book with very little drama. It made the romance that
much sweeter and the sex that much more special.
Very carefully (at the warning of their mutual friend Derrick) Riley takes things easy with Charlotte. He wants to do this right even though…
“I’ve never had such strong feelings for a chick so fast and I am thinking it’s because this one is meant to be mine.”
“This man is driving me insane. I am going to explode with desire. I’m so inexperienced in this area, but the way he is making me feel slightly calms my nerves.”
They have such an ease between them. They share things easily and talk about their lives with one another. When difficult situations arise they act like adults and talk about it, a wonderful concept. Over the course of 3 weeks things seem to fall into place for them. I am excited for you all to read about their journey. I am even more excited to introduce to you Riley and Charlotte RIGHT NOW! We were able to get an interview with the lovely couple, I hope you enjoy ;)
Hello Char and Riley! I’m so glad you could join me today! I have some questions for you both, together and as individuals…let’s get started!
Char and Riley
1) I absolutely love Boston! How is it actually getting to live there?
Char- I love it here. I was born and raised in Boston so it’s the only place I would consider home. As a diehard Red Sox fan and living close enough to the city it’s perfect.
Riley-Honestly moving to Boston was like flipping a coin. I could have moved anywhere. It was a choice I made based on my favorite baseball team. Weird, I know right? But hell I got more than I planned and I’m glad I did.
Well it must be beautiful…even with the Red Sox nearby. I guess I can forgive that ;)
2) First impressions stick forever…were you really able to forgive and forget?
Char- God he was such an arrogant ass. After the run in at the mini-mart I never thought I would see him again. But, after sitting down and talking with him at Derrick’s place I knew something was going to happen. It just took a little time.
Riley. Haha, the freaking loon. Sorry babe, but you gotta admit you were crazy about getting your hands on that damn paper.
Char- Shut the hell up Riley, you got what you wanted didn’t you?
Riley- I sure as hell did, in more ways than one. Seriously though, she was a little firecracker and I was drawn to her. I felt a spark when I first saw her. We were just lucky to cross paths again.
Awwww, well I’m glad things worked out!
3) How did you feel when your dad/boss walked in and caught you fooling around on the couch?
Char- My dad is probably one of the coolest guys around, but that was awkward. It was the first time anything like that ever happened to me. I knew he wasn’t pissed about it, so I didn’t make a big deal either. I did love the way he played us though. He still gives shit to Riley about our PDA.
Riley-Yea, I wasn’t feeling so good about that moment. I felt like I got punched in the balls and my mouth was hanging wide open. Even after he told us it was all I joke it still felt like my heart had stopped beating.
I can only imagine what that was like LOL
4) I loved reading about tub time…is that one of your favorite places to be together?
Char-Well anywhere Riley is with me is going to be a favorite place of mine. But tub time is our special time. I think I have turned Riley into a tub time freak. He wants them more now than I do. It does put a damper on my reading time now though.
Char- Just kidding babe
Riley- I don’t think I ever took a bath as an adult till I met Char. She’s right though, it is our special time. And to be honest, it’s kind of relaxing.
I’m jealous! I wish I had a tub for some special time with my hubby ;)
1) So, ummmmm, yeah…..awkward question but I am curious. Is Riley really as big as you say he is??
Wow way to throw that one out there. I can’t say that I know my way around too well, but I have had some experiences before Riley. To answer your question, he was more than I was ready for and definitely more than I have been with in my past.
I’m sorry but I just had to know, the schmexy fans need this info!
2) I have a sister and we are very close. How did it feel when you learned that yours was moving so far away?
Chloe and I are not far off in age so we had our moments of getting along and others that we hated each other growing up. But the moment she said she was moving I was crushed. I didn’t realize how much I would miss her. Thank goodness for FaceTime.
FaceTime is a lifesaver.
3) How did you never know about the willow tree and its great hiding place?
Oh I knew about it, just never that it was Derrick and Chloe’s hot spot. To me it was just a tree. Believe me I had my own spots.
Uh-Oh! You sneaky girl you ;)
1) I am close with my family. How did it feel for you to move so far away from yours?
I was so angry with the way things went down with my sister that I needed to just get away. I hated that I had thought I lost her. Emma and I are back on track now. Her and Char talk on the phone more than we do. It all worked out.
It was great to see you reconcile with her.
2) What did you think when you first saw the Harley?
Holy shit, no joke. I have always wanted a bike, but never took the time to look into really getting one. Char and I use it almost every other weekend to go up to that dinner outside of Boston. It’s a great way to get out of town and enjoy being outside. We love it.
Again…jealous! I will have one for myself…one day LOL
3) Red Sox fan….all I can ask is WHY?! ;) Sorry…die hard Yankee fan here!
Ah come on now. I don’t think we can continue this interview if you are a Yankees fan. Do you really want to get into this? Please don’t tell me you’re an A-Roid fan too?
A Yankees fan is a Yankees fan, what can I say?!
Seriously though. My dad was a fan and in turn I became a fan. I’ve watched these guys totally kill it on the field and some days really suck out there. Now that I live so close I get there when I can. It’s pretty damn cool.
It’s great that you can remember him this way.
Thank you both so much for being here with me today and don’t forget to stay schmexy!
