The anonymously published Dear Life program is designed to help them step outside of their comfort zones, face their obstacles, and relinquish their demons…and prove their existence.
With their lives teetering between wanting more and losing it all, all four souls dive into the program as a New Year’s resolution, sending them on a crazy, life-altering journey.
Please be kind.
Yours truly, Hollyn, Jace, Daisy, and Carter.
When I first heard about this book I was immediately intrigued. It sounded like nothing that I have ever read by Meghan Quinn and I had such a good feeling about it. This story is gut wrenching and heart breaking with classic funny girl Meghan stuck all throughout it. I laughed and cried, several times in public places while reading….I swear the girl at my nail salon thinks I’m delusional LOL In honor of the letters in Dear Life, I am going to try something a bit different with this review so please bear with me….
Now that I am writing this I’m not sure where to begin. The past 4 years you have brought me such joy through books and the blogging community. I have made friends, both real and fictional, that I will remember forever. They are a part of my life and I am thankful for them.
It’s not every day that a book comes along and really makes you take a look at your own life. Dear Life is that book for me right now. It made me stop and realize that I do not know what battles and struggles those around me are suffering with daily. The same goes that they do not know what is happening in my life.
As I read through the stories of Hollyn, Daisy, Carter and Jace I went through so many emotions. I could relate to some of the things they were struggling with and others I couldn’t understand as I have never been through something like that. I wanted to hug them and them slap them, jump their bones but have the ability to walk away when I got angry. It was a real rollercoaster of events.
Without you bringing me the world of indie authors I never would have been blessed to have read this story (or so many others). This book has shown me that I can overcome my struggles and become who I want to be as well as who I am meant to be, I just have to try. So Life, here is what I want to say to you….THANK YOU! Thank you for giving me challenges and struggles because it has only made me stronger. Meghan’s story has brought me hope and I am going to try to be the best me that I can be.
I hope that you will all embark on this journey of Dear Life, you may learn a thing or two about yourself just as I have.
About the Author
A BLONDE AT HEART
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
