I am a HUGE freaking fan of this series. I mean I LOVE them. I have them listed as one of my Top 5 Must Reads. I got sucked in after reading If I Were You, then I HAD to know what happened with Being Me, so of course there was no way in the world I was not going to read Revealing Us. I am so invested in Sara and Chris it is crazy. I was literally bouncing up and down in my seat when I received my ARC, and I stopped whatever book I was reading so I could get completely absorbed again.
So in Being Me, DRAMA was crazy and Sara had to make a choice to follow Chris to Paris or stay and lose him. I knew she had to go because he is Chris fucking Merit, I mean shit I would follow that man anywhere. We hoped we would really get a ton of answers about Chris’s past and what the hell really happened to him. I knew it was going to take a lot to get him to be able to give Sara any answers. What I wasn’t prepared for was all of the craziness that was going to go on in Paris. I think I expected a more HEA kind of book with this one, of course I should have been prepared for more questions.
Sara in Paris is interesting. She doesn’t know the language and there is a mega bitch from Chris’s past that thinks she belongs. For Chris being so damn alpha and protective I was kind of like “ummm shut this down” and surprised when he wasn’t doing that. There is one scene where the conniving bitch sets Sara up and I seriously wanted to throw my kindle. I was amazed at how much of the story was Sara searching for Ella, which made sense once I heard this is being more of a series and then a spin off. It made for a lot of drama and questions. As I stated before, this is one of those series I would happily read 15 books about.
“They don’t get to tell you who I am.” His voice is a rough grown, low and tight. “I do. I tell you and I show you, so you get the truth-not their fabrication of it.”
Oh Chris, I swear I don’t know HOW in the world you didn’t win our Schmexiest Book Male. I mean YUM! The demons this man has are crazy. I feel like his pain was so deep that I can’t imagine anyone but Sara being able to bear his burden. Then his crazy ass friends who I swear just wanted to sabotage his life. I love him, he is strong, alpha and he protects Sara at all costs. I seriously think the love he has for her is so intense and amazingly beautiful. He is every woman’s dream, a little bad boy, a little sweet, artistic and fierce , seriously sign me the hell up!! I would happily let him tie me up… TMI? Just saying he is a dream to me.
He fits into every single category for a book boyfriend:
1. Business savvy (suit)
2. Artist (Artistic)
3. Rides a bike (Biker)
4. Kinda Kinky (Bad boy??)
5. Dominant (Alpha)
Only thing I am not sure of is if he sings so maybe if you’re a rocker kinda girl, then you are out of luck but otherwise.. Yup!
I just really hated the people in his life in Paris. They did nothing but cause him drama and try to ruin the bonds that he and Sara were forming. We know she was very naive in the beginning of the series. I felt she came leaps and bounds in Being Me. This time I feel she really solidified some of her strengths but overall she was still needing Chris to keep her from drifting too far. She tested his patience a lot too, but that is kind of her thing. Heck if he punished me that way he showed her on the rug I think I would too.. just kidding.. maybe..or not..anyway.
Together, Sara and Chris make a lot of progress. Overall, it was so much fun just to ride their journey. I was ok with some answers but it left me wanting a lot more, the ending wrapped things up for the most part. I really do understand where she left it off considering we are going to follow them through some more unfinished business. There are so many things left to discover, I loved that Chris and Sara have more to their journey. I think I will always be greedy when it comes to this story!!
