Every woman wants me–except the one I sing for.
Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.
But when you love a girl, you don’t leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.
So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?
Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.
When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I’m a god–but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl’s not happy to see me.
Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that’s her — Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she’s out for my blood.
Let her come at me. Because I’m out for her heart and, this time, there’s no way she can stop me.
I think I died several times while reading!!!
KENNA IS SWOONWORTHY.
I am IN LOVE!!!
We already know Pandora from the Real series, but in Ripped we learn what makes her tick. Why she is the way she is. Bitter, anger, just an overall biotch. We find out all the crap she went through and and god did I love her.
At seventeen, Pandora’s heart was shattered. She loved and loved deep. She made a promise to herself to never be in that situation again, to never experience that pain. She was bitter and angry and lost.
“I choose hate. It makes me feel good. Protected and safe. Hating him is all that keeps me sane. Hating him means what he did to me doesn’t matter. I can feel something.”
Who broke her heart? The one and only MacKenna Jones front man for Crack Bikini. ROCK GOD. And I already claimed him, ladies! He steps out on that stage with his swagger, leather pants, muscled legs, bare chest. JESUS. But Pandora has to see past all that. She has to guard her heart. She has to protect herself. Yeah, good luck with that. How can you say no to him?
Pandora decides to face her heartbreak straight in the eye and get him back for all the pain he caused. Little does she know that this encounter will throw her right back into her lost loves’ life.
“I want to hit him while I kiss him, curse him while I kiss him, push him the hell away from me while I kiss him.
I want to . . .
I just WANT.”
Damn, so do I!! He’s very hard to say no to. He is determined to win Pandora over and he doesn’t give up easily. He has this way about him that you just wanna crawl into his lap, hug him and lick him at the same time.
So this story, a story of second chances, passion, heartbreak, and above all, love, is one of Katy’s best stories yet. My heart broke for both Pandora and Kenna and I cheered them on wishing for that happy ending they so desperately deserved. Don’t miss this one and remember, I’m keeping Kenna!!!
