YAY!!! It’s my turn yet again!! Lots of you heard me raving about this book last month – it is my newest MUST READ, DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, and READ THIS BOOK book!
I am happy to announce this weeks Book Boyfriend…..
Ok ladies….commence swooning!! His girl Leah describes him the best
“He was the perfect combination of cute, but sexy. Pretty, but rugged.”
Danny DeLuca is moody but good lord it just adds to his appeal. One minute he can be sweet and flirty then the next he is distant and harsh. The more I learned about him the more I understood his ways. He tries to stay away to protect his girl and he can’t.
I could not get enough of him. He is funny and witty and he knows what he is doing, that is for sure.
“Every touch, every kiss, felt so incredibly good, and yet her desire for him was agonizing.”
In case you missed my review here is the Interview that I was able to get with Danny and Leah.
Don’t leave just yet!! I had a chance to sit down with Danny and Leah and ask them some fun and personal questions!! Enjoy :)
Hey guys! Thanks so much for meeting me today. Leah let’s start with you, we know that Danny thinks you are sweet and snarky. Who do you get your snarkiness from?
Leah: My father always tells me I have a smart mouth like my mother, but honestly, I feel like anyone who spends time with my family will develop one, whether they want to or not.
Danny: *laughs* It’s true. If you’re not a master of wiseass-ery over there, you’ll never survive.
Leah: Yeah, you kind of have to be, otherwise you’ll get eaten alive. My brother made a sport out of torturing me when we were growing up, and not much has changed in that regard. And my sister Sarah is one of the most sarcastic people I’ve ever met. I love them both in spite of it though. Actually, I love them both because of it.
Well I haven’t met your family Leah but I LOVE them…seems like a wonderful relationship.
Danny, you seem to like getting Leah to blush. What’s your favorite way to do so?
Danny: *smirks, revealing his dimples* You’re making me pick just one?
Leah: *covers her face with both hands* God, I already hate this question.
Danny: *laughing* Hmm…there are so many great ways to do it. Let’s see…should I tell them about the banana split thing?
Leah: *shakes head quickly with her hands still over her face*
Danny: *leans over and pulls her hands away* Aaaaand, there it is.
Leah: You are NOT telling them that story.
Danny: *smiles and holds up his hands in surrender* Apparently I’m NOT telling you that story.
Oh come on! Well, Leah because I like you so much and you are clearly embarrassed I’ll let you off the hook this time LOL
Danny, you tend to be very moody (to be honest I had a tough time with you for a while). How do you think that made Leah feel? Leah, how did it make you feel?
Danny: *pulls brow together and looks down*
Leah: *reaches over and takes his hand in hers* To be honest, I was more confused than hurt. I didn’t know him well enough at that point to be hurt by his actions, but…it just didn’t make sense to me. His behavior I mean. Because there was something about him…I don’t know how to explain it. I knew he was good. I could see it and feel it, even through all the back and forth. *looks over at Danny with a reassuring smile and squeezes his hand* He’s harder on himself about it than I ever was. Honestly, everything makes sense now. And everything happened just the way it was supposed to.
Danny: *smiles weakly at Leah’s words before looking up* I know it seemed like I was being an asshole. And I don’t blame you or Leah or anyone else for being pissed off at me about it. But I was trying so hard to do the right thing by her. I never wanted to hurt her…the furthest thing from it.
Thanks for the honest answers…I just had to know.
You both seem to have really great friends. Can you share any dirt you have on them? *insert evil laugh*
Danny and Leah: *smirk at each other*
Danny: There’s this one story that involves me having to go to Jake’s apartment to untie him from his headboard.
Leah: *whips her head toward Danny* What? How have you never told me this?
Danny: *laughing* The idiot let some girl tie his wrists to the headboard with some type of utility cord, and I guess when they were…done…she couldn’t get the knots out, so she just left. He tried to wriggle out of that shit for like two hours until he remembered he could voice dial me. And I swear, this girl must have been a fucking Boy Scout in a past life, because I’ve never seen knots like that before. Ever.
Leah: *cups hand to her mouth and starts laughing*
Danny: I’m not kidding. I had to use a steak knife to cut him free, and the whole time, he’s lying there ass-naked on the bed. I still have fucking nightmares.
Leah: *hysterically laughing now* Oh my God, I’m not even going to call “swear jar” on that story because It. Is. Amazing.
Danny: *fighting laughter* I’m glad you’re amused, because I have PTSD.
Leah: *laughs harder* Well, there’s nothing I could possibly say to top that story, so I’m bowing out. Besides, my girls have too much dirt on me for me to go spilling their beans.
Danny: If Jake were here, he would tell you that story proudly, so I have no regrets about sharing it.
Leah: *wiping the tears from her eyes* That is true.
OMG thanks for the visual of an ass-naked Jake…now I think I have PTSD, serves me right for asking LMAO
Leah you have a pretty decent CD collection!! What is your most prized CD and what does it mean to you?
Leah: My signed *NSYNC CD will always hold a special place in my heart.
Danny: *shakes head*
Leah: And obviously my Ray LaMontagne “Trouble” CD will always be significant to me. He’s such an incredibly talented artist, and track three, “Hold You in my Arms,” was one of my favorite songs, even before Danny. *glances at him and smiles* But now, I hear him every time I listen to it. It’ll always make me think of that night.
Danny: *winks at Leah*
Well, I have a soft spot for *NSYNC as well…don’t worry Danny, it’s a girl thing. I must say that I really enjoy listening to your song…so sweet!
Danny…have you ever thought of singing in public? You know, since you say you can actually do it.
Danny: *quirks brow as his dimples appear* Are you trying to get me to sing? Because it’s not gonna happen.
Leah: *rolls eyes* He wouldn’t sing for me either at first. I have no idea why. His voice is just…*sighs before she turns to him* Come on, sing something for her. Just one line.
Danny: I can’t. It would be like the Pied Piper in here. Every woman within a ten-mile radius would flock to me, and then they’d follow us home, and we only have two bedrooms. Where would we put them all?
Leah: Oh my God, just ignore him. *laughs to herself* Next question.
Ok then….*watches Danny’s ego inflate*
Leah – High school English teacher…that’s brave! What do you like the most about it?
Leah: Remember back when you were in school, and you’d sit in a class and think, “Why do I need to know this? When will I ever use this in my life?” Well, English was the only subject I never felt that way about. It was always relevant to me, because books are about people and experiences, and that’s what LIFE is about. And I always thought it was so cool to disappear in a book and live in someone else’s world for a while, to experience life through someone else’s eyes, you know? Reading books make you a more well-rounded person because you get to go through things you might never get the chance to go through in real life, and in doing that, you learn lessons that you can take with you. You can learn a lot about yourself through discussing literature, and I love helping my students discover that.
Danny: I wish I had her as a teacher when I was in school.
Leah: Pshh. Your shit wouldn’t fly in my classroom.
Danny: *smiles* Swear jar.
Hmmmm, I wonder how much is in that swear jar these days?
I see how it is LOL
Danny – My car is having trouble, can you recommend a good mechanic in the area?
Danny: Oh, come on! D&B Automotive, obviously. Although my friend Jake just opened up his shop in Queens, so I have to give him a shout out too. And the best thing is, there’s a law firm right across the street from his shop, so filing your sexual harassment suit as you leave will be easy.
Hahaha Good to know!
Leah, your family is really amazing. How long have you been doing Sunday dinners with them? I think that’s a great tradition to have!
Leah: When I was younger, we used to have dinner together every night. My parents would turn off the TV, and no one was allowed to answer the phone, and we would just talk about our days. I remember thinking it was annoying sometimes, but looking back now, I love that we all had that time together. After my mom died, obviously we went through a rough patch. Any sense of routine or normalcy kind of went right out the window. I think it was around my freshman year of high school that my dad started Sunday dinners. Chris was a junior at the time, and we both played sports, so we had practice and jobs, and dinner together was sort of hit or miss. So my dad decided we would start doing Sunday dinners. No excuses, mandatory attendance. I didn’t realize how much I missed our dinners together until we started doing it again. And it’s something we just continued to do, even into adulthood.
These are memories that you will have forever! Beautiful <3
This is a bonus question *bring back the evil laugh* Where is the kinkiest place you two have had sex hehehehe
Danny: Thank you. I didn’t even have to do anything that time. *gestures toward Leah*
Leah: *cheeks flooding with color as she looks at Danny* Are you really gonna tell them?
Danny: It’s an interview, sweet girl. We’re supposed to be answering their questions. I mean, it’s either this or the banana split story…
Leah: *interrupting* Fine…this. *immediately buries face*
Danny: *with an amused smile* In the reception area at the shop, on top of the customer service desk.
Leah: To clarify, it was after hours, so one was there. And he started it.
Danny: And if I remember correctly, you finished it. Twice.
Leah: *covers face again* Okay, you didn’t need to share that part, you smug bastard.
Danny: *laughs and kisses her temple*
Well thanks for answering…and remind me not to lean on that counter when I bring my car in for service ;) I’m so happy that we had this time to chat, it was great meeting you guys!!
Danny and Leah: *waving* Bye!
