Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He’s heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she’s almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she’ll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin . . . signed M.
All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He’s obnoxious but well-mannered. He’s a gentleman but aloof. He’s passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can’t deny him… or herself.
M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed — and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he’s aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she’ll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession – an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair..
One Night: Promised Review
“I believe that you’re the master of your own destiny- your own decisions and actions are what influence your life course. But unfortunately, the decisions and actions of others impact this course, too, and sometimes you’re powerless to prevent it.”
Get ready, to be intrigued, curious, nervous, and shocked.
M is extremely intriguing to say the least. He is emotionally detached and is up front from the beginning. He’s very exact and precise, can be cold and arrogant, rarely smiles; yet we see a completely different side to him when he is with Livy. He’s sweet and passionate and can’t get enough of her.
Livy keeps to herself but she is sassy and sweet. She has kept herself in a tight little bubble for the past 7 years. She has had a hard past and keeps herself closed off except from her best friend Gregory, her friend Sylvia, her nan, and her nan’s friend George. I love nan! She’s so fantastic and was such a great staple to this story. She is so fun and had me laughing many times.
M never mixes business with pleasure. He is very guarded and refuses to answer anything personal every time Livy tries. As Livy starts wiggling her way into his heart, we see the slow build of his feelings toward her.
“I can’t seem to get enough of you Olivia Taylor.”
“I want to drown in you Livy.”
Livy has a secret about her past and she doesn’t want M to know what it is. She’s afraid of what he’ll think, how he will react.
But M also has a secret and trust me, you’ll be dying to find out what it is! When it’s finally revealed things are explosive. Your heart will be pounding with the many twists that happen after.
There’s a lot of intrigue in this story and great turns of events, and you will be so curious to keep reading and get answers. The ending will blow your mind and leaving you desperate for the next book.
The passion that burned between Livy and Miller in One Night: Promised may end up destroying them both in this new novel of overwhelming desire and shocking discoveries…

One Night: Denied
Miller is back, and he’s back with persistence. He’s determined to get his “sweet girl” back and make her see how good they are together. In this book we delve into all that is Miller. We get to see how dark he feels he really is.
“My self-hatred claws at my dark soul daily.”
Now that Miller’s had a taste of Olivia, he can’t stand to be without her. She makes him feel, she brings him hope. He needs her.
“You fill my dark world with light and my hollow heart with feelings.”
We also get into Miller’s past. It’s heartbreaking to hear what he went through as a child and the hard times he endured trying to find his way. We see and understand now why he is the way he is, so particular and possessive about his things.
“If my twenty-nine year tale of misery has led me to you, then that makes every unbearable part of it worthwhile. I’d do it again in a heartbeat, Olivia Taylor.”
Olivia is determined to show Miller and anyone else who stands in their way that she loves and accepts him and will not give up on him.
“When you love someone, you love them because of who they are and how they came to be that person.”
To say Olivia and Miller have a lot of struggles is a tremendous understatement. There were so many anxieties my head was spinning to keep up. But Miller and Olivia’s strength and love shines through each time. When they are together it is beautiful and all-consuming.
There’s definitely more going on here than meets the eye and I’m looking forward to seeing where the next book will lead us.
“Hum to me.”
“Until there is no breath left in my lungs.”
