From breakout New Adult author Monica Murphy comes the exhilarating conclusion to Drew and Fable’s story—the star-crossed young romance that began in One Week Girlfriend.
Lost. Everything in my life can be summed up by that one sickening word. My football coach blames me for our season-ending losses. So does the rest of the team. I wasted two whole months drowning in my own despair, like a complete loser. And I lost my girlfriend—Fable Maguire, the only girl who ever mattered—because I was afraid that being with me would only hurt her.
But now I realize that I’m the one who’s truly lost without her. And even though she acts like she’s moved on and everything’s fine, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. I know her too well. She’s so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is be there to help her . . . to hold her . . . to love her.
I just need her to give me one more chance. We may be lost without each other, but together, we’re destined to find a love that lasts forever.
Hi Fable!! Thank you for joining us today on Schmexy Girl Book Blog!!! It is so nice to meet you!
So great to meet you too! Thanks for having me on your blog.
I loved you so much in the first book but I really feel I connected with you and Drew in Second Chance Boyfriend.
Ah, thank you. You’re too sweet. I really feel like Drew and I connected in Second Chance Boyfriend too so I’m thinking we must’ve all became connected. *smiles*
How did you feel about the way things ended in One Week Boyfriend?
That was…a bad moment. I’d been hopeful for a little while and then was immediately devastated when he didn’t contact me. It was two months until we saw each other again and I was so freaking pissed. The man is infuriating sometimes. Still!
Aren’t most men..LOL
He’s lucky I love him so much.
Yes he is! What is the one thing you would say about Drew that caused you to fall so hard for him?
No matter what, he tried to protect me. Always. I look back on some of the things he did when we were at his dad’s house in Carmel and though I’d been mad at the time, I see now he was watching out for me. I love that about him.
I can definitely see that. He does want to keep you safe from everything…
Plus, he has this vulnerable quality to him that makes me want to take him in my arms and never let him go. We protect each other. We’re good for each other. I’m so thankful he finally saw that.
If you could re-write your story and change one event, which would you choose?
This is tough because if I change anything prior to my meeting Drew, I would’ve never met him. So despite my mom’s crappy ways and the things Owen and I have endured because of her, I wouldn’t change a thing. Because there would’ve been no reason for Drew to walk into my life like he did.
Very true, but there is always one thing we all wish would be different…
One thing I would change though? I wouldn’t let Drew leave me like he did at the end of OWG. I would’ve forced him to stay and face his fears with me by his side.
I love that you both have Marshmallow as your code for each other. If you had to describe Drew using the letters in his name what would it be?
We love the marshmallow thing too. It’s silly right? But sweet.
Rock hard *blushes* (but it’s true!)
Ok I love doing rapid fire are you up for it? I will say one word you tell me the first word that comes to mind ok?
Let’s do it! Sounds fun.
Crazy — ADELE
Smores – marshmallow!
Love — Drew
Fate — Love
Drew — Mine
Ahhh so fun!
Thank you so much for meeting with us today!! I can’t tell you how much we love you and Drew and all your Marshmallow love!! I hope you will come back and hang out with us again and maybe bring Drew so we can talk to you both.
Oh, I’m sure Drew would love that. He enjoys nothing more than revealing all of his secrets and being asked a bunch of personal questions.
Aww I don’t think we are too bad..lol We will go easy on him ;)
Ha ha. My poor Drew. He’s getting better about it. I would love to bring him back here so you could interview the both of us together. We have a novella coming out in January you know…
We can not wait!!! Thank you again and we can’t wait to see you again!!
And thank you again for having me! It was a lot of fun.
