Timing is everything….especially when it comes to love. A Love Letter to Whiskey is a story that will have you following soul mates over the years, always just a moment away from being able to be together.
Jamie and B are so so so perfect for each other yet it was always just out of their reach to be together. Girlfriends and boyfriends, family, time and distance keep them apart. But the heart wants what the heart wants and Jamie and B show us just how strong that connection can be.
I’ll be honest, I was quite often frustrated as I read. All I wanted was for them to realize that the timing was always perfect and that they didn’t have to keep torturing themselves like they did.
“…lines always have been pretty blurry with us, haven’t they.”
^^^YUP!!! They were always toeing that line and keeping me on the edge of my seat wondering when they were going to come to their senses. Over the years we get to see them grow up, mature and become the adults they were meant to be, while still sharing their love of surfing, the waves seem to keep them connected through everything.
A Love Letter to Whiskey is full of what ifs and maybes. Loaded with tension and addiction between B and Jamie. You will think you know when the stars are aligning but you will be wrong.
“I felt both solid in my decision and terrified I’d just made the biggest mistake of my life, proud of my accomplishments yet ashamed of my stubbornness.”
About the Author
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
