Every life has a different path full of sharp turns, smooth curves, and steep drop offs.
Hollis Murphy has a plan—college, career, boyfriend, love, marriage, family. A predictable, normal life. She’s on track until an outside force causes her to crash and burn. They call it an accident, because that’s the only word they know to explain what happens to her. It helps everyone move on with their lives, except for Hollis. She holds on to the belief that she’s been targeted for a reason.
Risher Stevenson is intelligent, caring, sweet, and the hottest boy Hollis has ever laid eyes on. He fits perfectly into her original plan for a normal life. Everyone loves him.
Benton Daniels is intelligent, caring, sweet, and the bravest boy Hollis has ever met. He doesn’t fit into her life but gives it purpose and makes it extraordinary. Everyone hates him.
One is bullied. One is tormented. All are judged. How will it STOP?
When I think of an Alison Bailey as a writer, I’m always reminded of how emotional her books will be, how the characters are so strong and how much I fall in love with each and every single one of them. I know I will cry, laugh and FEEL. With each book, I add another favorite to my shelf. STOP was no exception.
We meet Hollis Murphy is experiencing independence for the first time as she heads off to college after a life-changing event that will forever alter her character. Here she meets Benton Daniels and Risher Stevens, two completely different characters who both have the amazing ability to love without boundaries.
STOP is the type of book that you should go into blind—you need to experience all of the emotions first hand without any spoilers. Just know that you will fall and you will fall hard.
I truly believe that STOP will leave you with a very important message. Love knows no limits. Beauty comes from within. Kindness and acceptance are just a few qualities that we need to teach our children from a very young age. We all need to stop the hate, accept those who are different and love unconditionally. A kind word and a helping hand can truly make a difference to those around you.
I applaud Alison Bailey for taking on these types of tough subjects. Not only does she always create a male lead that you truly fall in love with, she makes you open your eyes and mind to people’s differences. The world can be a cruel place. We’ve witnessed it time and time again. There are so many people out there who hate rather than love.
Alison wrote a brilliant story. STOP is expertly crafted and Alison’s writing is top notch. Again, she gives you another epilogue that will blow you away. She is the queen of epilogues and I have to say, I haven’t found an author who wraps up a story quite like she does. I truly hope you fall in love with this story and these characters. Bravo Alison. You amaze me with every book you write.
