Their bliss is stalled as part of James’ past emerges. Someone that he believed did not exist, a part of his life locked firmly away in the back of his mind.

Their journey is not without sorrow and pain as their encounter with those of a heinous nature proves more than they can handle.
An attack they suffer threatens their very existence together but love will win, leaving them free to fulfil their lives dreams together surrounded by their family they can only grow stronger and stronger.
Oh the webs we weave in the final installment of Alex and James’s story however, it closed a lot of chapters on the Alexandra Drake series that were still left open from the other books. This is a book you absolutely have to read if you read the other two books because it puts together a lot of the pieces to the puzzle in their story. And yes this book did give me some sniffles… yup, I did cry at parts but it was well worth it because I needed to read this book to find some closure with these two lovebirds!
“I feel so very blessed. James has helped me so much over the last few months; it will be soon be a year since I first met him. In that time, we have both fallen in love so deeply. I’ve overcome some terrible obstacles and traumas from my former life with Lewis, the bastard, and finally married just over three weeks ago.”
It is the love that James shows Alex to heal her from her past. I guess we should all be so lucky to find this kind of love, but all good things must come to an end, right?!?!
It is just past the honeymoon stage without sacrificing their fabulous sex lives we’ve all become accustomed to when James’s mother, Stella comes into play. We get to hear her side of things as to why she left James and his father, Lucca back when James was just a baby. She returns to have a relationship with James or so she says, but James isn’t hearing any of it.
“I want nothing to do with that, that woman. You forget Alex, I know the stories, the things my dad used to say, the things I overheard my dad and Roberto talking about, about her. She’s a bitch Alex, a bitch of the first order with some evil bastards as friends.”
Stella shows her true colors and proceeds to tell Alex stories of her past which leaves Alex completely beside herself with horror. And then Stella does the unthinkable to her own flesh and blood that leaves the family members holding onto hope for the life of one of their own.
“I want you more than anyone, I really don’t think I could have survived if they’d hurt you more, if they’d have…”
All you lovers of the first two Alexandra Drake books, THIS.IS.A.MUST.READ. It again ties up all loose ends and it answers questions that we didn’t even know were in back of our minds. Cheers to James, the fucking, fuckable General Manger that we have grown to all love and to Alex who has overcome her tortured past and has found a true love that we should all be jealous of.
