The marriage is fake. But for a sassy chef and an arrogant billionaire, the sparks are real…
Jackson “The Beast” Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick’s New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fund-raiser, Bianca can’t refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother’s medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum—money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract—and a stunning ring.
The heir to a family bourbon dynasty, Jackson knows the rumors swirling around him. The truth is even darker. Still, he needs a wife to secure his inheritance, and free-spirited, sassy Bianca would play the part beautifully. Soon, though, their simple business deal evolves into an emotional intimacy he’s built walls to avoid.
As the passion heats up between them, Bianca and Jackson struggle to define which feelings are real and which are for show. Is falling for your fake fiancé the best happy ending…or a recipe for disaster?
Burn for You by J.T. Geissinger is the perfect combination of southern sweet and slow burning chemistry with a dash of angst.
Bianca Hardwick, New Orleans restaurant owner. Sweet as pie and a force to be reckoned with makes a deal with Jackson “The Beast” Bordreaux. It’s almost like making a deal with the devil himself. He is the heir to a family bourbon dynasty and frankly makes a less than stellar impression at their first encounter.
But there is something there, just under the surface. Simmering, bubbling, building…
“Fate is just the sum of all our bad decisions.”
I adored Bianca, such a beautiful, strong character. She was hilarious, sassy, witty and I loved her southern flair.
Jackson, what a douche at first impression. Yet I couldn’t help but want to know more about him, what made him tick. He was complicated and grouchy. A tortured and complex hero that will melt your heart.
“I think sometimes it’s easier for a man to be the worst version of himself than to let the world keep breaking his heart.”
From the get go these two were like oil and fire. Heating up the pages with their chemistry. I swear when they first kissed I was jumping up and down with happiness.
J.T. not only gave her readers a fabulous slow burn love story. She also gave us New Orleans with its magical culture and supporting characters that you’ll fall in love with along the way.
My only wish was a little more, the last 25% things unfolded and got wrapped up rather quickly. With all the slow build up, I needed a little more.
This was my first JT Geissinger book and I adored her writing style. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
“Because of all the marvelous and terrible things we can experience in this life, love is the only one that will last beyond it.”
