This is the second book of the Chasing Series. I advise that you read the first book (Chasing Beautiful) before purchasing this. Thank you! –P.A
After the demise of their relationship, Blake and Sienna tried to live their own lives—the way they see fit—to recover from their break-up.
Blake Knightly was beyond livid when Sienna left him. Bitter and bruised, he immediately went back to his playboy lifestyle and sought the only cure he knew how.
When Sienna finally started seeing Kyle in a different light, fate stepped in and scrambled her life once more. When an unexpected shocking tragedy happened, Blake and Sienna were suddenly in each other’s orbit. The moment she saw Blake after a long time of not seeing him, she was torn from the emotions Blake evoked in her.
Will she finally choose between Kyle and Blake?
How will they even try to move past the LIES, BETRAYAL and JEALOUSY?
Could they fight off the magnetic attraction or will they submit and surrender to it?
Let the crazy nonsensical chasing begin.
****CONTAINS sexual content, adult situation and language only intended for mature readers 18 and above.****
Hello again….welcome back to my second review in the Chasing Series by author Pamela Ann! We pick up a month and a half where we left off in Chasing Beautiful (if you have NOT read the first book please STOP now, there will be spoilers in this review – not on purpose but because it’s how the story goes ;) ) Blake and Sienna are separated, Blake is still in London and Sienna is in LA. Though they are worlds apart they are both thinking of each other constantly.
Blake is trying to forget Sienna but can’t keep from screaming her name when with another woman and Sienna realizes that she is in love with him. When a tragedy brings them back together things are awkward to say the least. Their friendship is even rocky, Blake is to put it nicely…an ASSHAT! I couldn’t believe how cold he was to Sienna. She was trying to be civil (for the sake of their other friends) and he was just blunt and to the point, no pussy footing around. Eventually they of course end up sleeping together and Blake later says,
“Your point is? It’s just sex Sienna. You were gagging for it, so why not? It was right there and you were easy. A pussy is a pussy.”
I mean WTF is that about?? When we see things from his POV you get a better understanding of why he acts this way. He wanted Sienna but couldn’t have her, then he has her and doesn’t want her….my mind was reeling. The two were like school ages children bickering back and forth, except with really hot, angry, steamy, sex!!
Then we still have the whole Kyle situation going on. He is really trying to win Sienna back, and not so subtly. They now work together and spend a great deal of time with one another, mostly at bars, parties, and shows. This is one of the major problems with Blake and Sienna, Kyle always seems to be the root of an argument.
I was not a fan of either of our main characters this time around. I think I was just pissed at how they handled everything and it annoyed me. There was some crazy stuff going on in this book…maybe a little bit too much at some points. I was definitely feeling better by the end of the story (another bit of a cliffhanger). The way it stopped surprised me, I was NOT expecting that to happen at all! I will be reading the third book Chasing Paradise very soon and I will do another follow up review so stay tuned.
