New York Times bestselling author Jasinda Wilder presents the second novel starring the mysterious Madame X.
My name is Madame X.
My life is not my own.
But it could be…
Everything Madame X has ever known is contained within the four walls of the penthouse owned by her lover—the man who controls her every move and desire.
While Caleb owns her body, someone else has touched her soul. X’s awakening at the hands of Logan’s raw, honest masculinity has led her down a new path, one that is as exciting as it is terrifying.
But Caleb’s need to own X completely knows no bounds, and he isn’t about to let her go. Not without a fight that could destroy them all…
“…you all have lifetimes of memories. A linear identity that you can hold on to. I do not have this. I have six years of memories. That is all. My identity is not…linear. It is…fractal. It is disrupted. False. Created. I am not me. I am a me that you created.”
Exposed brings us back into the secret life of Madame X. We follow her this time as she learns more about who she is and what really happened to her. X struggled a lot in this story and there was a lot of back and forth with her emotions. She doesn’t know what she really wants or needs and she is in a constant battle with herself because of it.
As she explores her sexuality away from Caleb, she learns so much about herself and gains confidence in being her own person. So much of this story revolved around X (now Isabel) and Logan discovering each other and worshipping each other, yet fighting their feelings at the same time. I was hoping for a little bit more of an in depth look beyond the sheets.
We gain more answers and are still left wanting more. The mystery is starting to get pieced together and I cannot wait to see how this all ends. Will all that she’s been through have a meaning, will it be worth it, will she be ultimately happy with her final decisions….we will just have to wait and see!
