He was my older brother’s best friend.
He was never supposed to be mine.
I thought we would get it out of our system and move on.One of us did.
One of us left. Now he’s back, looking at me like he wants to devour me. And all those feelings I’d turned into anger are brewing into something else, something that terrifies me.He broke my heart last time. This time he’ll obliterate it.
Knowing all this brings Elle And Oliver more problems and heartache you can imagine. But what it does provide is Angst. And passion. And pent up feelings coming alive again. Or did they really go away?
The What if’s. The regrets. The amazing moments Bean and Elle share together. The Sex…OMG, Oliver melts you. He actually melted me.
“I want this to last forever,” he says, biting the inside of my leg.
“I want to make a little house inside your pussy,” he says…..
Oh God……the rooftop!
You can’t help but to fall instantly in love with this story because Claire’s writing blows you away. This story is written beautifully. Her play on words, and analogies with regards to the Kaleidoscope Hearts. If ever I wanted to live inside a book, this would be it. The town its set it, near the beach, Elle’s friends, her family, Oliver, her job!! The whole story is so fucking lovable. The connection she shares with Oliver…it’s memorable. I cried, then my heart broke, then Claire put it back together. Just like the pieces of broken glass are put together to make a Kaleidoscope Heart.
“The difference is that it’s already broken, but I use the pieces to rebuild it. The difference is that the heart has a second chance, and maybe it’ll get broken again, but it’s already shattered, so maybe the fall won’t be as bad.”
Brilliant!!! Just brilliant. And this book for sure goes on my re-read list, because I miss Oliver and Elle already.
5 Stars, 5 HOLLAS and Trish Mint Approved!
