Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.
Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.
A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, pu$$y or a combination of all three.
King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.
Warning: This book contains graphic violence, consensual and nonconsensual sex, drug use, abuse, and other taboo subjects and adult subject matter. Although originally slated to be a standalone, KING is now a two part series.
Jen and Roxie’s Review
He is the king and we are arguing over who will be his queen!! FREAKIN LOVED HIM!!!
Just, WOW, blown away. So completely different. What a story!!! With so many books out there, it’s kinda hard to choose. That blurb drew us in and we couldn’t stop once we started.
Our heads are still spinning. It’s gritty, yet sweet. It’s dirty and conflicting yet sexy and beautiful.
We meet Doe, due to a head injury she has no memory of who she is, where she came from. She is a runaway, hungry, lost, has no family or friends to call her own and hoping for death to end her misery.
“I don’t know where I came from.
I don’t know how old I am.
I don’t know my real name.”
Heartbreaking!!! She is desperate and ready to do about anything to fill her belly and get of the streets. Dragged to a party by a “friend”, she locks eyes with King, and this is where we fell. Couldn’t have stopped loving him if we tried.
King, what to say about him? He’sa criminal, badass, tattoo artist, a scary mofo with no heart. He and his friend Preppy (who we loved by the way), worked their way to the top and you do not want to mess with them.
“…when it comes to me and mine, I am the judge. I am the jury. And if need be, I am the motherfucking executioner.”
King and Doe’s first meeting was, let’s just say, unorthodox.
We won’t lie; we were worried about poor Doe. Her situation was hopeless—her options were limited. Our hearts ached for her many times.
The chemistry between these two was just CRAZY HOT!!! Doe tries to fight it, to fight her feelings for him, but it’s kinda impossible. He is that HOT!!!
King had it all—love, hate, murder, sex, angst—everything we look for in a book. T.M. Frazier rocked our worlds. We kept saying, OMG what?! Holy shit, holy crap, no he did not just do that!!!
There are so many layers to this story, twists and turns everywhere … As it unfolds and we keep learning more and more till the very last page … That ending !!!! OMG IS IT AUGUST YET ??????
T.M. Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and baby girl.
In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents although her spelling could have (and could still) use some help.
It only took her twenty years to start the next book.
The Dark Light of Day was her debut novel.
King was released June 15th 2015.
She LOVES talking books with her readers.
