From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance—and the enchanting music that inspires one young woman to put her life back together.
At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…
From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to become another bestseller and long-lasting fan favorite.
My 10 Billion Stars Review
Inhale… exhale… beat, beat, pause. I can’t even control my breathing in this moment. I can’t control my emotions in this moment. As I attempt to try to write this through my tears, I am left completely and utterly useless in forming a coherent thought. I have never, ever in my life experienced anything like Maybe Someday. If I could write a love song, a soulful melody to express the way this book has made me feel, I would. I don’t even know if you can call it a book. It’s heaven, it’s PURE PERFECTION—like happiness, sunshine, a rainbow after the rain, sunsets. You take a deep breath… savor every moment just powerless to the feelings that overcome you.
Sometimes a heartbeat can say what words can’t. Sometimes your eyes and actions can speak a thousand words. Colleen Hoover has the ability to move your heart and soul and squeeze it, take away your every breath. Slam you in the heart—capturing it knowing it will never be the same. I laughed, I cried, I read and reread and just wanted to experience it all over again. There are times I felt hopeless, losing hope until I reached my point of retreat. There were moments where you thought you couldn’t live her any more than you already did—and then she hands you that glass slipper and you feel like Cinderella.
The whole experience—the words, the music—spoke to me in ways that no other book has. Listening to Griffin Peterson’s songs made you feel as if you were a part of something so profound, so magical. His voice is perfect, his songs are perfect, together they brought the story to life. Like you were in on a secret, not only reading the words, but living them right along with the characters.
Those characters—each one will forever be with me. Colleen’s work is a masterpiece and needs to be experienced. I don’t want to give away any of the plot, you need to witness the beauty of it all on your own.
I will leave you with a few final thoughts. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Colleen Hoover. She’s the Walt Disney of writers. She moves me, amazes me, and I am in complete awe with her writing. She has a God given gift, one that I hope she shares with us for years and years to come. I will never tire of her. She makes magic happen.
In her words:
“There are 26 letters in the alphabet. You would think there would only be so much you could do with twenty-six letters. You would think there were only so many ways those letters could make you feel when mixed up and shoved together to make words.”
What Colleen does with those 26 letters and the way she uses them, she changes my life EVERY SINGLE TIME. Maybe Someday there will be a way for me to repay her for all the magic and gifts she’s given me. The gift of love, a place to escape, and words that fill every spot in my heart. Maybe Someday I can figure out a way to show her just how grateful I am for the gift of her words. Thank you, Colleen. You are my angel on Earth and I am so thankful for you!!!
