They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They’re right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.
They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.
Anyone who knows me is well aware that my favorite types of books are the ones that rip my heart to shreds. I crave books that obliterate my heart and leave my insides twisted.
I grabbed Ruckus hoping for just that. Having just come off of a huge book hangover, I had no idea what to expect and wasn’t sure if any book would cure it.
Welp… LJ Shen, you gave me a story that I truly needed.
Asshole, I wanna lick his whole body swoonworthy hero ✔️
Angst galore ✔️
Hot, melt your panties sex ✔️
A storyline that grabbed me from the get go ✔️
This is Dean and Rosie’s story, and man, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about them together. I mean—he dated her sister!!! But LJ, she just twisted their story where they just fit.
Their attraction towards one another practically melted my kindle.
Sure Dean is an asshole and takes and takes and takes. But once you get to the why’s of him being the way he is, it all just clicks and you can’t help but fall in love. Beneath his hothole persona lies a man with a heart of gold.
“You shine, Baby LeBlanc. So fucking bright sometimes you’re the only thing I see.”
“God and Dean are synonyms. Save battery power. Choose one next time you text me.”
Rosie is a beautifully broken heroine. She carries the weight of her illness like a champ and just wants to be treated like a normal woman—not forced into a the protective bubble her parents have placed around her. Her “What Makes You Feel Alive” moments had me reflecting on my own views and made me think about what truly matters.
Dean is the one person who doesn’t treat her as if she’s about to break. He pushes her out of her comfort zone and opens her eyes to a whole new world.
The love they have for each other is endless, heart-stopping, and all consuming. With a story line that gives you the past and present, you come to fall for these two hard and I found myself neglecting the outside world as I was lost in theirs.
“Perfect things are relatable. Unbreakable is fascinating, but not lovable. You’re breakable, Dean Cole. I’m going to do my best to keep you whole.”
I LOVE THEM!!! Love them!
I’m ashamed to admit that I wasn’t a fan of Vicious. He was a little over the top in the asshole department for me. But… Ruckus is THE MAN. What I wouldn’t give to have one night with him 😍!!!
So take my advice, drop everything and meet the man who set my panties on fire. He’ll definitely become your next book boyfriend!!
