Another wingmen meets his match and this time it’s scandalous.
Carter Kelso is a man with a plan. And goats.
Ashley Kingston is a woman with a reputation.
Can he earn back her love before their past catches up with them and destroys everything?
On the island, my last name is synonymous with scandal. With a notorious father and a famous brother, I’ve been on the sidelines of our small town’s gossip circle for years. Nothing to see here. Just a man and his goats, happily going through life. Not a care in the world. Too bad it’s all lies.
I’m tired of trying not to be in love with Ashley Kingston, our very own island jezebel. Some people think she’s a slut. They think they know her. They’re wrong. Screw them.
Reputations can be deceiving. I should know.
Small Town Scandal is a second chance romance standalone novel and the fifth book in the Wingmen series. You do not have to read the other novels first.
Daisy Prescott never disappoints!! If you looking for a book that’s well written, witty and fun, she delivers it every single time.
Small Town Scandal was no different, a second chance romance with Daisy’s special touch.
We know both Carter and Ashley from previous books. But do we really know them?
High school sweethearts with a past that’s complicated, a family feud and insecurities that leads to heartbreak and unresolved feelings resurface years later.
When Carter finally realizes that Ashley is IT, he is ready to win back the one that got away. It’s not an easy task I tell you. Ashley is hardened and a bit jaded about love and relationships.
She has a reputation spread by island gossip. I loved how Daisy showed a totally new side of Ashley without completely changing her. This chick owns her actions to the fullest. She is who she is, either take it and like it or walk away.
Carter has his job cut out for him for sure. It’s like approaching a wild animal, but have no fear, our handsome goat herder has some very smooth moves to thaw Ashley’s heart.
“Some things we grip so tight for so long we don’t know how to stop. Even if it’s an anchor, holding us back or dragging us down.”
Love these two together. They both have their insecurities and imperfections but together they have the perfect chemistry. They very slowly begin to rebuild trust as they address the past, present, and hopefully a future. I loved seeing Ashley’s softer side, the woman she became with Carter on her side. She is strong yet vulnerable, fierce yet sweet. Carter is swoony and I adored him from the start. He is still finding out who he is, what he wants in life, but one thing he is sure of is that Ashley is his.
“Our messy, jagged edges line up. I don’t know how or why, but they do. Always have. We just had to align the pieces in the right order.”
