From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.
It started out like any other morning on the train.
Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.
He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.
Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?
Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.
I might have picked it up.
I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.
I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days―until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.
So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.
I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.
I didn’t expect him to text back.
I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn’t expect to fall for him―all before we even met.
The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.
Yet, you know what they say about opposites.
When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract―we consumed each other.
Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
I LOVED this book! Vi and Penelope have done it again. This writing duo has really impressed me. I could not put it down…I absolutely love when that happens. Graham and Soraya’s journey was one filled with “mature angst”, snarky comments and steamy goodness. It also shows us the evolution that people can make in themselves and in various relationships in their life.
A dropped phone is all it takes for this story to begin. We meet Graham, angry alpha male with no time for BS from anyone. His secretaries al quit and everyone is basically scared of him, everyone except for the confident Soraya. Her snarkiness and her attitude having me cheering for her from the start. She was so sure about her self but not in an arrogant way, she was just strong.
“Soraya Venedetta was a little devil.”
After my initial introduction to the rudeness of Graham I really wasn’t sure I was going to be able to like him at all. I was proved wrong on this one. Strong and bossy in the office but he really had a sweet side and a strong love for family, and strawberry milk.
“I don’t think I’ve ever told anyone about that. You have a way of turning me into mush, Venedetta.”
Both Soraya and Graham are unsure about a relationship, they have both been burned in the past. What sets this story apart from others is that these two have the ability to talk about their feelings openly. They talk about what they’re feeling, what has happened to them and what they are afraid of…THIS hooked me. I truly appreciate the openness of their relationship.
“No one knows what’s going to happen from one day to the next, but if the world were to end tomorrow, there’s no place I’d rather be than right here with you. That tells me everything I need to know.”
No matter what gets thrown at them these two battle through it. It was angsty and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop, I just didn’t expect the twist that this story took. And while I read I was entertained with bits like this…
“You never cease to amaze me, Soraya. It would be my pleasure to leave the gentleman at the door and fuck you four ways dirty.”
Stuck-Up Suit can be read as a complete standalone but for those of you that have read Cocky Bastard there is a special surprise guest appearance in Suit! It brought back such great memories of Chase and Aubrey!
