Best friends since sixth grade. A ten-year high school reunion. A truth they’ve danced around for a decade…
Unlucky-in-love Sophie Perez knows her divorce won’t be easy—but she doesn’t expect it to be dangerous. So when things get ugly, she agrees to move in with Pete Nicos, her commitment-phobic best friend since childhood. Pete has always been there for Sophie, just like she’s been there for him. At first, taking her in seems like the best option, but soon her tantalizing proximity blurs the lines of friendship. With their high school reunion on the horizon will they find closure, forgiveness, and new beginnings?
Ten Year Dance is a contemporary love story and is loosely connected to the internationally award-winning novel, Game of Love. Rich with engaging and relatable characters trying to find themselves and each other, Ara Grigorian’s latest will stay with you long after you turn the final page.

The Ten Year Dance is just that, a ten+ year journey that brings us a new kid at school, new friendships, young love, marriages and so much more. Sophie and Pete are the core of the story but their friends are all very involved. A lot can happen in ten years. Just ask Pete and Sophie. They have been friends from they were young but there was always something more lingering in the background.
We visit the past often, it paints the picture of where their story began and what led them to where they are today. You have to pay attention to it all, because they both have different views on how things happen and what it all means.
Pete doesn’t do serious relationships, he doesn’t believe in love. Bit by bit we learn why and it will make your heart hurt for him but at the same time you will love him. He is super protective of Sophie and always puts her first.
Sophie was tough for me to figure out. She was smart and athletic in high school, had lots of friends but always seemed to be the “buddy” to everyone. Now she is still smart and athletic but she is making some big changes. One minute she seems to be going in one direction, then you aren’t really sure what she wants.
Over the course of a few weeks things between Pete and Sophie begin to change and get more complicated than ever. You will watch them evaluate their feelings while confronting past relationships and crushes.
The Ten Year Dance is a story of moving on, second chances and looking beyond the surface of how things seems. It was a sweet story of friendships that last, crumble and turn into so much more over the course of time.
