After catching her childhood sweetheart cheating on her, Sophia Hamilton is hell-bent on stopping other women from getting played like she was.
And so the played becomes the player.
Fast forward two years and Sophia is now one of San Francisco’s most successful honey trappers. Getting paid to expose cheating men has become the norm but just when she thinks she has seen it all, she is offered a unique proposition which threatens to turn her entire world upside down.
Mason Hunter is a hotel tycoon, millionaire and cheater. Or is he?
Sophia has six weeks to find out.
She quickly discovers that Mason isn’t the only one keeping secrets and she becomes caught up in a tangled web of lust, lies and misplaced loyalties.
Lines are crossed. Rules are broken. The real Mason Hunter is about to be exposed.
The hunt is on.
honeytrap noun a stratagem in which an attractive person entices another person into revealing information or doing something unwise….this is Sophia’s job. She works to expose cheaters. Some don’t agree with her profession but she is proud of what she does.
This is how Sophia meets Mason, young attractive wealthy Mason Hunter. He is every girls dream and yet the one who has him doesn’t appreciate or deserve him. The honeytrap has put them in quite a sticky situation (sorry couldn’t resist). Mason is this amazing man, he is so so so sweet and nothing like what Sophia was expecting, seeing that she usually works with some real losers. He was always polite and respectful and seemed fun to be around, even parting ways at the end of a day he was sweet.
Until next time, Sophia.
This is where it gets tricky (and I can’t say much because I don’t want to give anything away), but there is a real connection between these two. Sophia and Mason are basically perfect for each other, but when you figure in the half truths, secrets and the conniving wife, oh and Sophia’s job….it really isn’t ideal. Mason is persistent but not forceful, he just really wants to get to know Sophia.
Let me find you, Sophia.
The attraction was there, but the timing is off, or is it? It was so hard to tell but it was clear what Sophia wanted in the end. She didn’t want to settle or to be burned once more.
I don’t want ordinary love. Not anymore. I want to drown in passion.
It was a slow build over all, and you were kept waiting for the big WTF moment for things to fall apart. The heat was there between them yet we didn’t get much action out of it. Overall I enjoyed their story, especially their best friends Lori and Buzz who provided lots of comic relief!
