The Manor, the very place where their passionate love affair began, fills with guests on what should be the happiest day of Ava and Jesse’s lives. She has accepted that she’ll never tame the fierceness in Jesse-and she doesn’t want to. Their love is profound, their connection powerful, but just when she thinks that she’s finally gotten beneath his guarded exterior, more questions arise, leading Ava to believe that Jesse Ward may not be the man she thinks he is. He knows too well how to take her to a place beyond ecstasy . . . but will he also drive her to the brink of despair? It’s time for this man to confess.

This whole series is a crazy-ish, intense, and sometimes borderline INSANITY. Jesse Ward is overprotective and Ava O’Shea pushes every single button he has. Their relationship covers an extremely short time and with everything they endure you would think it was the course of a few years.
In the first two books it was a lot of sex, punishment fucks, fucking sense into her, and sleepy sex, This Man Confessed is no different. There is lots of love mixed in as well. Ava and Jesse’s relationship take a lot of natural progression throughout this story, he pushes her and she pushes back, they are not your typical dominate/submissive. He doesn’t want to be her “Dom” he just wants her to NEED him. There were so many parts that as I read I was thinking Uhh RUN AVA RUN, because holy shit does Jesse have some heavy ass baggage.
“I can manage with anything, but never you. Not ever. Don’t look like this, please. Don’t look like you think it’s the end. It’s never the end for us. Nothing will break us, Ava.”
He needs constant reassuance from her that he truly has her unconditional love, and she battles herself to give that to him. It is truly amazing the intensity of their connection, and just how DEEPLY he loves her. I am not sure that I could ever handle that type of intensity that is for sure!
“Tell Me you love me” he demands.
I don’t falter in the slightest. “I love you.”
“I need you.” I interrupt him. I know the drill.
He wants to be better for her though and not cause her to run, and I felt that was what was most previlant throughout this book, his willingness to bend and give in to her.
“I’ll try to be better. With you, I mean. I’ll try not to smother you and make you crazy.”
This book was really long but it was able to keep my interest from start to finish. I will say there are a lot of times where I wanted to cry for Ava, and then times I wanted to cry for Jesse. The pain they continue to inflict on each other because they are so afraid of scaring the other one is so hard to read. However, this story ends with all of your questions being answered. You also will have some major “What the fuck?” moments because good grief I did not see some of that drama unfolding!! I had a suspicion on who the villain was, but I had NO idea of the insanity behind it!!!
The epilogue is absolutely AMAZING, I have no other words but to say PERFECT!! I love when the author gives you everything you could want to know about their story and how their future went.
You will not feel cheated in anyway!!
