Three means war.
Three sides vying for forever.
My first love.
The bad boy with the dangerous smile and passionate temper draws attention like a lit fuse on dynamite. But his dark molten eyes spark only for me.
My second chance.
Over six feet of Norse god in a tailored suit, he calculates every move and seizes my hungry breaths with an iron fist.
The free-spirited dancer, torn between two men with no resolution in sight.
I tried leaving, staying, refusing, and surrendering.
What options do I have left?
I love two men, and I do the only thing I can. I fight.
Jen and Roxie’s Review
And that’s a wrap. The Tangled Lies trilogy by Pam Goodwin consumed us this summer. We loved the quick back to back releases of these 3 books!! Pams writing was top notch as always. If you haven’t read book one yet please stop now because this review may contain spoilers. Check out our review for One is a Promise here ➔ http://wp.me/p3GREZ-5kC
And for Two is a Lie here ➔ http://wp.me/p3GREZ-5o6
From the start we were invested in this story. Yes we picked a team! (Different teams, but you get the idea)
Danni, we adored this girl from the start. A dancer with a fierceness to her, forced to face a decision as her past and present collided. To say things got complicated is an understatement. Secrets, secrets, and more secrets are uncovered as Cole and Trace’s history is revealed. In the final book, lets just say unorthodox methods are used to help her with her decision. At times things got hot, really really hot—other times we really just wanted to smack all three and put them in time outs.
“We’re a constellation of fate, love spiraling to death to lies to love, and despite it all, we continue to spin with stars in our eyes.”
We definitely liked the second half of book 3 better, when the story just naturally played out. The heart wants what the heart wants and when Danni finally listened to her heart, it led her to the man she belonged with. It was a bumpy ride and while we sympathized with her dilemma, being in love with not one but two amazing guys at the same time is turbulent, but her constant wishy washiness was a bit irritating at times.
We adored how Pam incorporated dance through out the whole book. It was so pivotal to Dani. Her dancing healed, helped, and guided her the whole time.
“If you still love me, even after I broke your heart, that’s not a weakness. It’s bravery.”
Overall the trilogy left us with the mixed bag of feelings that we are still sorting out. We turned the last page with a smile as Dani found her happiness and the other half of her heart.
