What happens when the internet’s favorite playboy falls in love?
I have the best job in the world. Date beautiful women and write about it.
But I want to take it to the next level: instead of writing about my experiences make it into an online reality show.
But here is the catch. My boss wants me to share the show with a woman co-host. And he wants that woman to be my best friend and co-worker, Margo.
I’ll date beautiful women and she’ll date hot men. Sounds fair enough.
So now I have to watch her fake date hot men. I used to love going home with a different woman every night, but suddenly this isn’t as fun. Seeing Margo with anyone else is driving me crazy.
And the more time I spend with her working on the show, the less I want to keep our relationship in the friends’ zone. And the harder it is to stop myself from imagining her bent over the copier.
Things are about to get unprofessional.
With so many friends to lovers books out there, why should you pick up Unprofessional?
J.D. Hawkins has a way of grabbing your attention from the first scene. Not only is his writing smooth, but you feel as though every smoldering look, every hot line is spoken directly to you.
We meet Owen, the king of one night stands, love me and leave him, and words that will have your panties wet. He is the master of getting the ladies. It’s no wonder since he like an Adonis and fucks like a god.
Working side by side with Margo at TrendBlend, an extremely popular virtual website. Having been friends since college, they are tight as thieves and will never take their relationship past the friend zone.
“The problem is the eight years of friendship between us, eight years that we’ve just compromised. Eight years of loyalty, of support, of having each other’s backs. Eight awesome, solid, harmonious years… all of it has come crashing down now, completely screwed up, sold for cheap.”
After one drunken night, Margo becomes a virtual sensation and the lines of their friend zone are blurred.
What ensues are many hilarious and the two of them avoid repeating their indiscretions. The sexual chemistry is off the charts–the push and pull, fireworks ready to go off as you turn the pages!
The boss decides to pair Owen and Margo in a virtual dating experiment, one where they both simultaneously go on dates with others, then discuss these dates with each other for their virtual audience. What went right, what went wrong.
Who knew that jealousy would rear its ugly head having them question their feelings for each other.
“There’s no room for regret, or logic, or morality when a woman like that gets a hold of you. No room for anything but a deep primal thirst to possess her completely. Trying to deny myself all this time has only made my need for her burn even hotter, and now it’s consumed me.”
This is by far my favorite J.D. book. I really enjoyed his previous books, but Unprofessional takes the top prize.
Owen is the kind of guy you want to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He is delicious. Kinda makes me want to go off and find him for myself 😜. His lines and what he can do with his hands and another part of his body had me full on sweating–he was that hot!
Unprofessional is a must read for anyone who loves a hot alpha, friends to lovers story. J.D. mixes humor and pure hotness, leaving me with a #Bookgasm and anxious to meet my next Book Boyfriend provided by the one and only J.D. Hawkins!!!
