When I won the annual Eagle Elite College Scholarship lottery, I was thrilled. After all, my grandma had just died and I wanted to take care of my aging grandpa — he couldn’t be a farmer in Wyoming forever. And graduating from Eagle Elite meant opportunity.
But I wasn’t counting on meeting Nixon.
Nor was I counting on the rules of the Elect.
1. Do not touch The Elect.
2. Do not look at The Elect.
3. Do not speak to The Elect.
And worst of all? Don’t discover the secret they hide, because in the end, you may just realize… it’s about you.
*This is a New Adult Book, blood, violence, cursing, sexual references, and drug use. Not recommended for those under 17.*

Elite Guest Review
Very intriguing story that makes you keep reading to figure out what was going on.
Trace Rooks’ parents died in a car crash when she was six and was raised by her grandparents who she loves greatly. Her grandmother had wanted her to go to Eagle Elite College. Chances of getting into Eagle Elite were very slim. Children of diplomats & celebrities attend Eagle Elite. Trace’s number was drawn from a lottery. By going to Eagle Elite she would be set for life as she would be placed in a career and given opportunities most people dream of.
When Trace’s grandfather drops her off she is faced with Nixon and Chase who immediately are giving her a hard time. They are harassing her and telling her of rules such as not speaking to the Elect unless spoken to, never make eye contact with an Elect, and so on. WTH? Who do these guys think they are? The ladies on her dorm floor are all snooty and rude. We are also introduced to two more of the Elect, Tex & Phoenix and it appears all of the Elect are under Nixon’s “rule”.
Nixon: Nixon, also known as Satan, is all over the place. One minute he is the biggest asshole;
“The way I see it…” Nixon grinned. “She won a silly contest. The same contest we put on every year so that the poor underprivileged people of the world are able to join the high society. She…” He pointed at me & smirked. “Is just a number.”
Ouch! What the hell is wrong with this guy? The next minute he’s sweeping you off your feet telling Trace how special & beautiful she is. He wears a deep mask and it’s obvious he’s attracted to Trace. There is a lot of mystery and secrecy behind him and with the different events that keep happening you are constantly trying to figure him out as well as what the heck is going on. Why is Nixon in charge of everything? Why can’t you leave campus without security… serious security… 4 black escalades, really? What happened to Nixon that he can’t stand to be touched? Once everything is finally enlightened you understand the way he is. The relationship between he & Trace is difficult and what develops is unexpected as their pasts unfold & collide.
Chase: While he starts off not in the best light, he quickly redeems himself! Swoon! He does everything possible to be there to protect Trace. Cousin to Nixon and always under his “order” Chase is in charge of being body guard to Trace. Trace & Chase develop a bond together and become close friends. Could Chase be developing feelings for Trace?
Monroe: Trace’s roommate and Nixon’s twin sister. Turns out Monroe is really great, nothing like her brother, and helps out Trace a lot. They become best friends and Monroe is there to help Trace through her many troubles.
Grandpa: Such a sweet and caring man who would do anything to protect Trace….but grandpa has a huge secret that is about to change everything!
There is a lot of mystery going on throughout the story that you try to piece together. The school itself and the things that go on are bizarre. The bullying and things that Trace endures is awful. Then there is all the mystery you are trying to uncover about her past and who Nixon is. Why does he have so much power? Why are men in suits following them and chasing them with guns?
What I also liked a lot about this story is while it held suspense and confusion; there was a lot of humor throughout the story. I always enjoy good banter that has me laughing out loud. It was a nice break from the bullying and drama.
The story ends with a bang, literally! I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in the next book.
Elect Guest Review
Woah! Talk about starting off with a bang! We end Elite with Nixon pouring his heart out to Trace and vowing to protect the one he has loved all his life and Trace’s grandfather, Frank, killing the De Lange mob boss. We start off Elect with a prologue that makes your heart jump right out of your chest immediately making you ask, what the hell is going on?
There is serious intensity going on in this book! There were moments I yelled, I was anxious, I cried, I was frustrated, I loved it!
The Sicilian’s have come to investigate! When Nixon learns it’s the Nicolosi family, THE ORIGINAL family, he freaks. Things are about to get serious & messy.
“A life for a life,” Luca shrugged.”
When Nixon is trying to make a deal with Luca Nicolosi , Luca brings in Phoenix with his information on Trace and her grandfather and Luca threatens her life if they don’t give up her grandfather’s location. Chase covers for Nixon saying the information he has been given is false, Trace is Chase’s girlfriend. This causes disturbance and the deal is made between Nixon & Luca that he has until the end of the fall semester to find out who killed Trace’s parents or they have to give up where her grandfather is in hiding. Because of this, Chase & Trace are forced to pretend they are a couple. As if you can’t see where this may be heading!
“That’s the thing about love-you’d do anything to secure it-except when you finally have it, you’re so damn worried about losing it that your choices are no longer selfless but selfish.”
The war….OMG!! Can you say crazy! There are quite a few twists that happen that will have your jaw dropping. Unexpected information is revealed and then more unexpected information is revealed, GAW! You will be so frustrated, even though what happens is necessary…we know it, but the characters have no idea what is going on….but where would be the fun in reading if I were to spoil the plot for you.
“When you react out of pain or fear, you pause, giving your enemy time to kill you.”
Things get crazy intense in the relationship department. And as you can imagine…quite frustrating! Luca is everywhere! Damn this guy. He’s even become a stand-in teacher at Eagle Elite teaching Trace’s Chemistry class. The “relationship” necessity between Chase & Trace is about to get real serious. Trace looks to Chase with brotherly/friendship love and it tears Chase apart that they aren’t together and she doesn’t see him differently. Nixon is torn to shreds having to watch the love of his life act as girlfriend and kiss his best friend. What happens? Well, you’ll just have to read and find out! And trust me…you want to read & find out!
“After all, if something doesn’t cost you absolutely everything-did you ever truly love it in the first place?”
