Chloe hasn’t had the best life. With a mother who is gone more often than not, she has had to raise herself. After graduating high school, she leaves to start a new life away at West Virginia University with her best friends Amber and Logan, determined to leave her demons in the past.
On her first day, she meets a stranger who takes her breath away at first sight. Until she met Drake, no one had ever sparked her interest. Now this tattooed and pierced bad boy is all she can think about, no matter how hard she fights it.
Falling for Drake was never part of her plans, but when it happens, things seem to do anything but fall into place.
Dealing with a tragic past, Drake has never cared about anyone else but himself and his band. But when Chloe takes the empty seat next to him in class, things start to change. Instantly drawn to her, he begins to wonder if one girl can take a cold hearted womanizer and change every part of him?
Long hidden feelings are revealed and friendships tested to the brink.
O.M.G, I frickin loved this book, like I love, love, loved this book! What a clusterfuck of emotions I felt for this. It grips you, it rips you, and it definitely has left me wanting so much more!!! First I wanted to scream, then I wanted to cry and I even laughed a hell of a lot and by the end my husband just wanted to me to shut the hell up about it…I guess it’s good that I finished it then, huh lol? But now I cannot get this read outta my head. I know you are probably all laughing at me now because yes, I am going all K.A Robinson fan girl now.
“Logan was one of the most attractive guys I have ever seen. With his sandy blond hair, blue eyes, and ripped body, he’s every woman’s wet dream.”
“Whereas Logan was all light and sweet, Drake was the physical embodiment of the stereotypical bad boy.”
YUMS! With his tattoos, piercings and muscles that seemed to go on for miles, Drake is also the lead singer in a college band and a womanizer. Drake catches Chloe’s eye from the moment they meet, and they instantly become friends that also flirts with one another and that’s what starts Logan’s caveman tendencies toward her. He tries to protect Chloe from Drake and this drives Chloe nuts because he has never acted in such a way towards her. So Logan eventually breaks down and says that he has loved her for years and wants to be with her. Chloe and Logan give it a go with a real relationship but it is Drake that makes her heart beat faster. Every time Drake and her are near it is amazeballs chemistry that had me moving around in my seat until they finally give in to each other and what an explosion occurs! So the cheating on Logan happens again and again and both schmexy boys admit they love her.
“We came to tell you to decide who you want. Both of us want you, but what you want is what really matters. Whoever you don’t chose will back off. No questions asked.”
So on one arm, Chloe has her loving best friend, who has spent years as her protector, savior and a man that would die for her (his words, not mine) and on the other arm she has a bad boy rocker that seems to have changed his ways for her, that also loves her and has off the charts chemistry. Who will Chloe choose because I would love to be a fly on the wall when she finally confesses who she wants to be with?
Chloe and Drake have found their happily ever after… Almost.
When Chloe’s mother comes back into her life with a bang, it sets off a chain of events no one could have ever expected.
Everyone has their demons, and Chloe and Drake’s hit them with a vengence.
Sex, drugs, money, a crazy ex, and Rock n Roll…. Can they survive it all?
Things are beginning to feel a bit… Twisted.
**Do not read if you have not already read Torn, there may be spoilers**
What a “Twisted” book this was that I absolutely loved again. If you read my Torn review, then you know I heart K.A Robinson and her books. What was once a triangle in Torn has now become quite the square. New characters come into play in this book that try very hard to break up the concrete foundation that Chloe and Drake have, or is it really that solid to begin with all insecurities that surface because of how their relationship started? Will it be Chloe and Drake, or Chloe and Logan or Chloe and Jordan…I guess you just have to read to see who Chloe ends up with or will she even end up with any of them?
We start off where Torn ended…Chloe’s psychotic mother shows up at the home Chloe and Drake share.
“You want to know the real reason I came to find you? Aunt Jen won’t give me my share of the money if I don’t bring you to her. I wouldn’t be here dealing with your stupid shit if I didn’t have to be.”
Wowza, yes her mother is a real crazy bitch. She wants Chloe to go to her dying Aunt’s home because Jen wants to see Chloe one last time before she passes away plus she has a shit ton of money most likely to be given to Chloe’s mom and Chloe. Before Drake goes on tour with his band for several weeks, he goes with Chloe to visit her dying aunt. What they don’t anticipate is that Chloe’s “first”, Jordan is also staying at the house with her cousin, Danny. This girl is like a magnet for dudes, right?!? Well, low and behold, Jordan is another guy on Chloe’s list that still has feelings for her.
“It drives me nuts to think of you with other guys, Chloe. It nearly killed me with Logan, and now I get to look at that douche bag and know he’s been with you too! How many guys have you been with?”
Poor Drake, this guy is sucker punched with so many guys that want his girl!
Eventually Drake has to leave to go on tour with his band while Chloe remains at her cousin’s house knowing that Jordan wants her desperately. Between Jordan, the tour and temptations it all becomes too much for Drake. Drake is sinking faster than the Titanic and his band and Chloe notice a change in him and become really concerned that he is on a self-destructive path.
“I felt like I was losing him, and I was powerless to stop it. He was slowly slipping away, and he refused to open up to me so that I could help him.”
If you read Torn, then believe me, you absolutely have to read this book, trust me on this! It was a rollercoaster from the beginning with so much angst and heartbreak that it had me screaming. K.A Robinson has done it again for me and you will absolutely not be disappointed with book 2 of the Torn series.
