Five years ago, Embry Jacobs ran…
She ran from a past that still hasn’t let her go, but her dream of becoming a lawyer is stronger than her fear of confronting that past. Embry’s sole focus is to get through law school—with the help of her best friend, Morgan—and make something of the broken girl she became. Not thinking about falling in love, being in a relationship or even entertaining the idea of romance, Embry is moving forward one day at a time.
Luke Brody is charming and sexy, and has a past of his own. He wants nothing more than to put his demons to rest and move on with his life. But, when Embry enters the picture, is he destined to repeat those same mistakes?
Blindsided by their instant attraction, neither Luke nor Embry are prepared for the feelings they’re developing. But will it all be for nothing?
Will they let their pasts destroy them, or will they risk everything to fight for their relationship when it all comes undone?
I just finishing Undone, and I am left sitting here with my emotions all over the place. R.E. Hunter blew me away with her words and I think I need a drink. Incredible read!!!
We meet Embry Jacobs, a beautiful intelligent girl who running away from a past she wishes never occurred. With her nightmare relationship behind her, she is hopeful for a fresh start. She escapes without a word, only to return home 5 years later to begin law school.
She meets Luke Brody who she literally crashes into, and OH MY WOW is he HOT. Blue eyes, dark hair, long lashes, all perfect muscles and GORGEOUS. He’s escaping a past of his own—looking for his own new beginning.
There chance meeting turns both their worlds upside down. The sparks fly and there is no denying their magnetic pull towards one another. Embry is speechless when their eyes meet. You know the feeling—heart racing, incapable of speech, goose bumps forming, uhhh—yeah, that kind of feeling. Both of them were in really big trouble! The fire between them is intense.
“There’s a lot we don’t know about each other yet. But the way things are going…I want to know you. I want to learn everything about you.” He brushed his knuckles across her cheek. “I want you, Embry, all of you. I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t have you.”
Embry was speechless and so am I!!!! Here I come Luke, I’m right here!!! You can have me!!! Damn it, I’m too late. He is in deep with Embry.
They shouldn’t be together. They shouldn’t continue forward, but neither of them is able to fight the feelings they share, the bolt of electricity that surrounds them when they are together. It’s like that big piece of cheesecake—you tell yourself you’re only going to have one bite—but once you get that little taste, you can’t help but eat the whole damn slice!
“Do you need me to explain to you how hard it is for me to be around you? How I can’t think straight when you’re near me? How I can’t breathe when you get to close? That despite how hard it is, I find myself rationalizing all of this…just to find another excuse to be near you?
There are so many twists and turns in this book. Your emotions will be all over the place. Just when you think you have it all figured out, there is another bomb that drops that leaves you with your mouth hanging open.
I love when you read a book and you find yourself falling in love with the secondary characters as much as you do with the main characters. Morgan is Embry’s hilarious best friend and Jeremy, Embry’s classmate, I LOVED him!!! I can’t wait to see where the series takes them as well!!
I’ll say it again. R.E. Hunter’s debut novel had me sucked in from the very beginning. She will own your heart and have you chewing your nails. Prepare to fall in love with this story and not be able to put it down!!! FANTASTIC!!!!
