Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him…
Carson Stinger was a man who didn’t play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn’t care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her…
When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn’t possible. At least not yet…
The synopsis doesn’t even come close to the intensity of this book. I loved Mia Sheridan’s previous books in the series, Leo and Leo’s Chance, so I knew Stinger would be great if not better.
My goodness where do I start. First I will say that Stinger is a beautifully written love story. And when I say “Love Story” I don’t mean sappy mushy. I mean, from start to finish, from the moment Grace meets Carson till the very end of the book, it sparks…its passion…its electric…its a connection.
I couldn’t help myself, messaging the author as I read because I couldn’t contain my emotion:
1. OMG I knew I loved you for a reason! This book F’n rocks! and not b/c you write an amazing sex scene! The whole story…I love it!
2. OH MY GOD!!!!
3. Just saying, I had no idea you were taking me on a journey like this. I am in awe of Carson.
And the messages go on and on……
I love that these two characters are so open with each other and share so much in the beginning. It makes for a good start, and they sure do get off to a great start.
Grace Hamilton is beautiful; blue eyes, blonde hair, smart, determined, and has everything in her life well through out. Being a law student she does not have time for a relationship. She is too busy with her studies to concentrate on love. That is until she hits Las Vegas to attend a law convention and runs right into Carson Stinger. Carson is HOT!! Get this, Carson is a Porn Star!! Love it!!
How can Grace take this man serious? Awwww, but there is so much more to Carson Stinger. On the surface Mr. Sex on a Stick has a smart mouth and uses his HOT body to make a living. Underneath all of that hotness is a soul waiting to be touched.
One thing I love when reading a book is dialog. I think it is so important for the development of characters to have lots of dialog. This book is all about dialog. At times I found myself smiling from ear to ear listening to Grace and Carson’s conversations. You feel their connection; their love is beautiful.
But when they connect in the bedroom…HOLLA!!! Carson’s panty dropping bedroom talk is just out of this world…
“How do you want to come the first time, Grace? Against my mouth? Around my cock? How Buttercup? It won’t be just once, so I want to know how you want it the first time.”
AWWWW Life is Wild!
But this short weekend changed them. Their connection meant more than just one weekend together. They both had developed very strong feelings and either could deny that walking away from eachother would be easy. But their lives were just way too different. HIS life is way too different.
“I’m sorry, this isn’t fair. I knew what you did and now I’m holding it against you. It’s just…it didn’t hurt two days ago. It hurts now.”
Things get way too intense for them, their feelings are being laid out on the table.
“I don’t want to lose you, Buttercup. But I don’t have a plan. I’m so sorry, so sorry.”
From this point on, I can NOT give away anymore. But I will say this, the rest of the book made me feel sick to my stomach, gave me lumps in my throat and my face was flushed.
Mia Sheridan takes you to places you haven’t been before. Her writing is top notch. I really had no idea where this story was going to lead me, but I wasn’t prepared for what she dished out. Not even close.
And yes I cried because the story is just that good. I am adding this series to my Top Reads because it needs to be there.
“I will always think of you when I watch Titanic…or see a Buttercup.”
