We would like to thank our very special guest reviewer Kim Hogan for sharing this review, and her favorite book boyfriend with us! We love you
For almost two years now, Kiera’s boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she’s ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.
Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he’s purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes…and none of them will ever be the same.
First, let me start of by thanking Schmexy Girls for allowing me the honor to guest blog. This is my first ever review as I am really new to the whole romance novel scene. However I am totally addicted now- thanks to the Schmexy girls recommendations. Thoughtless was my first read post Shades of Gray and I must say- I loved this book! 5 (Sexy Rock) stars!
S.C. Stephens pulls you in and takes you for a ride of emotions. While reading Thoughtless I could feel every ounce of love Kiera felt for both Denny and Kellan. In the beginning of the love triangle I was as conflicted as Kiera, rooting for each Denny and Kellan at different points in the story. They are both amazing men- but totally different. How can you choose one without hurting the other one you love too? Kiera could count on Denny, he was her safe and secure future, right? What would you do when you are in love with your boyfriend and he has done nothing but love you then you meet your soul mate? Kellan brings fire and passion to her. Could you, would you stay away?
“I need you. Let me do this. I can make you forget him. I can make you forget you.”
“What if I don’t choose you, Kellan? What will you do?”
He looked away, a tear rolling down his cheek. “I’ll leave, Kiera. I’ll leave, and you and Denny can have your happily ever after.” He looked back at me. “You wouldn’t even need to tell him about me. Eventually, the two of you…” his voice broke and another tear fell on his cheek, “the two of you would get married, and have children, and have a great life.”
I fought back a sob. “And you? What happens to you in that scenario?”
“I…get by. And I miss you, every day” he whispered.
